Lavelle Industries Inc. is searching for a Tool Room Technician for our Whitewater, WI facility. This role will focus on efficient and effective maintenance and repair of injection molds, dies, machine parts, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and hand tools.

This is a highly visible position within the company, critical to the advancement and growth of Lavelle within our market segments.

The Tool Room Machinist will work with the following resources available for this role:

  • Lavelle engineering team.
  • Lavelle R&D team
  • Lavelle operations team

The Responsibilities

The Tool Room Technician's major role is mold PM and repair.

  • Conduct scheduled injection mold PM, record data in Lavelle’s CMMS, and coordinate next steps if additional maintenance is needed.
  • Perform set up and operation of manual and CNC milling machines, grinders, saws, drills, lathes, and other tool room equipment.
  • Repair internally or assist in working with local suppliers on the repairs needed.
  • Fabricate and repair machined components, jigs, fixtures, etc., from drawings and samples.
  • Appropriate and effective communications – written and oral.

Experience

The successful candidate will have a blend of experience for this position:

  • Five years experience.
  • Must have 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have experience with preventive maintenance on injection molds
  • Experience with CNC machine tool control is preferred
  • The ideal candidate is one who is experienced with all facets of mold repair with CNC machining experience.

Education

  • HS Diploma and Machinist Journeyman or equivalent experience is preferred.
