NSF Certified Materials
With over 2,000 active formulations in stock, Lavelle offers an extensive range of materials many of which are FDA-approved for use with food manufacturing applications as described in CFR Title 21, Part 177.2600. These include natural rubber (NR) and various synthetics such as styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), butyl, neoprene, EPDM, nitrile, silicone, FKM (Viton) and urethane.
We also offer materials that meet the specifications established by NSF/ANSI 61 for potable water applications. Not only are these materials ideal for food manufacturing equipment, but many of them, such as our Chlorazone® family of elastomeric formulations, are designed to prevent premature product degradation by resisting harmful chemicals found in water, like chlorine, and the chemicals used for machine cleaning operations.
